Sir Explore
Sir Explore is a new experiential service to connect our guests to our friends. Every exploration gives a fresh perspective on the cities where we are located: Amsterdam, Hamburg, Ibiza and Berlin. The intention is to see a unique side of our cities, learn something new and, of course, have a ton of fun. Our hosts are people we trust, that we’ve met out on the town and hang out with on the weekends — they have that special magic that turns a trip into an adventure and makes a stranger feel like a long-lost friend.

How can I book an experience?

You can request a booking via e-mail, phone, at the front desk or on SirHotels.com. We recommend you book at least 14 days in advance. If you book closer to the date, we will of course do our very best to make it happen. Remember, your Explore Hosts are real people with busy lives (that’s what makes them so interesting!) and many don’t do this full time, so bookings are based on their availability.

How many people can I bring to the experience?

Each experience is different and for some there is a stricter limit as to how many people can attend. We usually believe in, “the more the merrier” but when it comes to experiences, sometimes less is more. So make sure to check what the maximum number of people we recommend. If you really want to bring more, just let us know and we’ll ask the host. Keep in mind, some extra costs may apply.

What if I need to change the date of the experience or cancel it?

Cancellations less than 14 days before start date will not be eligible for a refund. The same is true for making changes to the date - it can’t happen if the experience is in 14 days or less. Should an experience be canceled by a host, there will be a 100% refund. Should the itinerary change substantially, either because of the host, guest or weather, Sir Hotels will work with your host to provide an appropriate refund.

Who can I bring along?

Attendees of the experiences must be at least 12 years of age. However, if you are under 18 years old, you must be accompanied by an adult. If you are the adult who is responsible for someone who is under 18, it’s your responsibility to make sure the activities they participate in are age-appropriate and are not left unsupervised. The host and Sir Hotels are not responsible for the safety of the participants.

What if the weather is terrible?

Hosts will make every effort to continue as scheduled with experiences or events. Should bad weather conditions create an unsafe scenario for guests or hosts, a change or partial cancellation of an itinerary or activity may be the result without any refund.
