Word on the Street with Natasha Greenhalgh

Amsterdam Noord is just a short ferry ride from Centraal Station, but it feels like a different city…more like Brooklyn or London’s Hackney. Instead of canals, you’ll find old industrial buildings turned into laid-back restaurants, bars, music spots, and emerging art spaces.

One standout in this creative corner is Nxt Museum. It’s not your typical museum, think immersive installations and shared art experiences. Just a five-minute bike ride from Sir Adam, it’s well worth a visit with a special offer for entry during your stay. And we thought who better to give us an inside look and tips about what to do and see in and around Nxt than Co-Founder and Creative Director Natasha Greenhalgh who shares her tips for exploring the colorful, sometimes hidden corners of Noord.

Where do you find inspiration in Noord?

From Van der Pek Markt, the local neighborhood market, to Door Open Space for exhibitions and events, and Moving Arts Centre Amsterdam (MACA) for contemporary art and installations—Noord is full of creative energy.
